About Us

Our Mission

@TheHouse, Inc. provides the Arlington, Baltimore community with a range of resources to nurture youth, strengthen families, and engage senior citizens, with the goal of supporting achievement, self-sufficiency, and positivity — individually and collectively.

Our Story

@THE HOUSE, INC. was founded in 2011 by Pastor Troy Randall. He called together a group of compassionate people to help him answer the questions of why people are feeling alone, unloved, looked over and abused in their community. These questions were being echoed in our neighborhoods, our homes and sadly from our churches. We took the charge and developed a holistic approach which deals with the Mind, Body and Spirit of a person. Our agency became a voice of the voiceless. Our outreach over the years has consisted of:

Supplying Toys

Annually preparing dinner for shelter moms and their kids along with supplying toys and needed supplies.

Educational Workshops

Developing workshops and forums for youth to express themselves along with providing educational trips yearly.

Serving Dinners

Annually preparing and serving dinner to older Foster Care Youth in their homes. Re-stocking their food pantry yearly.

Summer Camps

Developed and ran a annual literacy summer camp for youth aged 5 – 13 yrs old. Partnered with neighborhood associations, area schools and local agencies to address the food desert by assisting in the development of a Urban Community Garden for neighbor fellowship, creating an Amphitheatre flower garden and reading pod for children and seniors.

Our Vision

@TheHouse, Inc. is a national model of the 21st-century Settlement House, serving as a physical and social hub for Baltimore’s Park Heights community and distinguished by:

  • A physical space for a range of services, from meeting basic needs to hosting community events
  • Programming for youth, families, and senior citizens
  • Access to available city, state, and other resources to help them overcome challenges and realize their potential
  • A single point — and place — of contact to collectively strengthen Arlington’s social fabric.
